(More customer reviews)Have Tried to always use Motor Flush each time I change oil in any vehicle I own and also only use full synthetic motor oil. Treat your car right and it will be dependable. An oil change without useing Motor Flush IS NOT A REAL OIL CHANGE since there is still a lot of gummed up parts gunk and sludge in the engine. I have owned 20 vehicles over the past 40 years and have used motor flush 95% or better of the time. Once in a while early on I was not able to find Motor Flush but now with the Internet That ISN'T an issue.

(More customer reviews)This little pump packs a surprising amount of power. My only issue is that after being dry for a while, sometime the rotor is in a starting position that doesn't provide enough torque to break through the friction in the bushings. Taking off the filter and poking at the vanes with something long and thin, to rotate them into a better starting position seems to do the trick. And once its run in the water for a while, it doesn't seem to be as much of an issue.

K&N HP-1002 Oil Filter Review

(More customer reviews)Weight of this filter tells you right away that you are getting a substantial filter. The 1-inch "nut" on the end plus the painted "dot" on one side of that nut makes for easy install. In tight applications, a typical adjustable wrench allows an easy turn. The added dot allows you to easily note when you have turned the filter the required 3/4ths of a turn onto the engine. It's a small extra, but it keeps you from having to scratch an index mark onto the filter body once it contacts the engine (as a reference mark to then turn the filter the additional 3/4-ths of a turn to seat it properly).

(More customer reviews)I have used moly products before in industrial equipment to reduce power usage so I was happy to try this product out in my car (a 97 Mazda Protege with 315k miles). The results were noticeable as I had a 15% improvement in gas mileage. I was pretty surprised and tested again with another tankful. I used the Lubro-Moly engine flush to clean the engine before I put this in at an oil change and used the same brand oil as before (Shell). The results are much better than the Slick 50 I was using (Slick 50 giving little difference). I am going to use this product from now on regularly.

(More customer reviews)Pennzoil, one of the best known and recognizable product in automotive and marketing today. It has a great fan following and product following. I honestly have not had the best of luck with the product. Many a time I have tried to use Pennzoil in my automobiles, and in the summer, not bad. But when it comes to the winter, It is noticably different. I have heard the Lifters in all of my cars, especially in winter, click more when starting up. This is just not a problem when I use other oils, mainly valvoline. Also, pennzoil is more of a parafin base to it, and one experience I had was seeing little chucks coming from my oilpan of pasty parafin. So, sorry for those guys that love pennzoil, but I just haven't had the greatest luck here in the midwestern weather.

(More customer reviews)I purchase this oil filter for infiniti M45 and infiniti G35 and have used them on the civic Si, Rx-8, and nissan 95 240sx with a sr20det s14 VTC type. I keep them around because they work on a plethora of engines: honda K20/24 & J30 V6, Rx-8's rotary, Nissan S14 SR20det, VQ35/37/40, VK45, VR38DETT, mitsubishi 4b11 (evo X) and 4g63(evo 8/9/ eclipse) and many more.
The nut is a life saver in tight spaces, and especially on the new 2006+ civics Si which have a very tight and confined installation space. As for filtering i've taken an old one apart and noted the filter media is very high quality i'd say as good or maybe better than most oem filters.
I recommend it, it's a good filter just to keep around/ have since it works on just about anything my friends have.

(More customer reviews)I run this oil at an 8,000 mile change interval on my 1995 Toyota Supra Turbo. I send the oil out for testing at Blackstone Labs and change the filter (Purolator Pure One) every 4,000 miles. While RP is a bit on the expensive side, it's freely available and I can grab a quart in the store if needed unlike Amsoil or RedLine. I've got 189,000 miles and the wear levels on my motor are equivalent to a car with 50,000 miles on it.

Knowing that I would be traveling Southwest roads with temperatures in excess of 105 degrees (F) and might encounter temperatures in British Columbia and Alaska below 0 degrees (F), I changed from my usual 10W-40 (also Bel-Ray) to the 10W-50 for additional protection through the heat I expected between Texas and California. Tire problems in the vicinity of Kamloops, and a 4-day wait for a replacement necessitated truncation of the trip, but the engine (and oil) performed admirably all the way back to Texas (and yes, I exceeded the recommended oil change interval).
